Some Background Information:I am interested in virtual worlds since the mid 90s when Viscape and VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language) where the only technologies to create them for the web. I visited 'Active Worlds' a lot for academic reasons when I wrote my German master thesis about the future of Interactive Television.
So it is only natural that 'Second Life' was on my radar screen very early.
The following presentation was developed specifically as an interactive text for individual use (I also wrote a case study related to it). You can access one 'chapter' quickly via the left sided title buttons. I recommend using the 'Full Screen' mode.
